1 Cup Tomatoes, diced

1 T Lime Juice

1/3 C Onion, diced and sautéed

Optional Additions: Cilantro, Cumin

SERVING SUGGESTIONS

Adovada sauce is a delicious braising sauce, marinade or perfect for tossing with pulled pork and even slathering on a pizza. It has many of the same chile ingredients as an enchilada sauce, but has lower heat, thanks to sweet tomatoes. Here’s how to cut your prep time and the ingredients needed in half by using our Enchilada Sauce as a base for an adovada.

Warm the enchilada sauce and heat together with the remaining ingredients.
