We receive lots of questions about how exactly one starts a co-packing project with us. The first step is easy. Just reach out! Contact us here.

The process of finding a co-packer can feel daunting. If we are a good fit for each other, you can be confident that we will guide you through the process. Here’s how it works:

  1. Let’s talk. Once you have defined what you are looking for in a co-packing partner, reach out to us! We will setup a time to meet with you and discuss your project, including batch size minimums, packaging, shipping logistics and more. For example, we do not allow glass in our facilities, so if you are looking for a glass jar co-packer, we are not the right fit. We want to be sure that we can accurately execute your recipe in our facility before we move forward. (We highly recommend reading William FX Madden III’s book,Separating the Con Man From the Co Man: How to Source a Contract Manufacturer, to guide you as you search for the perfect partner.) Learn more about our capabilities HERE.

  2. R&D work. If we make a good team, our R&D team will get to work matching or creating your recipe at large scale. Meet our talented R&D team here.

  3. Sourcing. Once a recipe has been approved, our supply chain team works together with our accounting professionals to put together ingredients and a pricing structure that works for your volume. This process takes time, but we all know how important a strong supply chain of ingredients is.

  4. Test batch. Now we are ready to cook! For the first batch at full volume, we have you visit our facilities and join us right at the kettle as we make the first scale-up batch of your product with our team of chefs. Once this batch meets all of your requirements, you're off to the races! Our QA team will work with you and the info from this batch to create a spec sheet or gold standard for your food item.

The entire R&D, sourcing and production process can take anywhere from 3 to 6 months or more. It takes time, but delicious, safe food is worth it.

Let’s get cooking together!
